VfL Wolfsburg gets the shell of DFB

The new German champions of the VfL are honored by a top-class delegation from the German Football Association. President Bernd Neuendorf, Vice President Sabine Mammitzsch and national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg will hand over the master shell on Sunday after the game against Bayer Leverkusen (2 p.m./Magentasport and NDR).

The Wolfsburgers had already secured the title on the penultimate Bundesliga matchday last Sunday-and then celebrated the master bowl with a cardboard imitation.

Also on Tuesday, VfL’s contract was announced with Sveindis Jonsdottir, who had only joined the team for the second half of the season. Previously, the fast offensive player was loaned at Kristianstad’s DFF club. Jonsdottir (20) extended her contract that was still running until 2024 until June 30, 2025. Since her debut at the end of January, she has been used in a total of 14 competitive games at the away game in Potsdam – eight times in the league (three goals), four times In the Champions League and twice in the DFB Cup.
