Ralf Rangnick is to become the new Austrian team boss.
The “Kurier” reported on Thursday afternoon on his website.
Accordingly, the German agreed to work with the ÖFB.
Association leader Gerhard Millletich will propose Rangnick to the ÖFB Presidium on Friday, and approval of the committee is expected.
Rangnick works as an interim coach by Manchester United until the end of the season, and his successor will succeed the Dutchman in the summer.
Before that, the 63-year-old Rangnick worked at Stuttgart, Hanover, Schalke, Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig.
In the summer of 2012 he became sports director at Red Bull Salzburg and laid the foundation for the so-called “Red Bull Football” in the following three years, which, among other things, defines himself strongly via pressing.
