According to reports, you are working on a new game in the long series Prince of Persia of Ubisoft. In recent years, Ubisoft has already confirmed that he is working on a remake of principe of Persia: the Arenas of Time, which is probably the most popular delivery of the franchise. And although the state of that new version is still in the air at the time of writing this article, now it seems that Ubisoft has begun to develop another entry, although it will be a little different nature.
Based on a new Xfuegue report, the Montpellier Studio of Ubisoft has begun to work in a new Prince of Persia title. The report establishes that, instead of being a new 3D game of Prince of Persia, it will be established in a 2.5D environment. ORI and the blind forest and its sequel ori and the WISPS‘s will were also mentioned as inspiration for this new Prince of Persia project.
Although it may seem strange that Prince of Persia obtains a new game with this style, when the series began for the first time in 1989, it looked more like a side scrolling game. As such, this new entry informed in the franchise would have much more in common with the roots of the series of what one would initially think.
For now, more details are still unknown about when the next game of Prince of Persia could be launched. According to the aforementioned report, it seems that the work in the title could still be in the early stages, which means that it could take some time to see the light of day. Even so, assuming that this report is accurate, it definitely tells us that Ubisoft has great plans for Prince of Persia in the future.
