Isaiah Thomas apparently stands before returning to the G-League. The two-time All-Star will probably return to the Grand Rapids Gold after the All-Star Break.
This reports Marc Stein with reference to anonymous sources. The 33-year-old had successfully celebrated his comeback in the NBA in the current season, but did not come across several tenth-day contracts at the Los Angeles Lakers and the Dallas Mavericks as Corona spare players.
Already in December 2021, Thomas had signed the Grand Rapids Gold, with his debut in the G-League, he set up 42 points and 8 assists. Shortly thereafter, the Lakers took him under contract, which the former MVP candidate finally returned to the NBA parquet after a long period of attention.
Overall, however, the Point Guard completed only five games for the Lakers and MAVs, in which he spent 8.6 points and 2.0 assists on average at 31.9 percent in 22.8 minutes at 31.9 percent. In addition to his lean throwing quotas, his defensive weaknesses were obvious.

He delivered his best season in 2016/17 at the Boston Celtics, but stubborn hip problems urged him from the league. He had then fought for his NBA comeback for a long time.
